Physical exercise and a balanced diet are the key to good health and avoiding diseases.

A healthy diet helps protect us from malnutrition and non-communicable diseases, such as diabetes, heart disease, stroke and cancer, which is why the head of the Ensenada Health Services Jurisdiction, Ramón Avitia Hernández, urges the population to lead a healthy life and adopt adequate eating habits, in order to have a better quality of life.

He pointed out the importance of nutrition to enjoy good health, and for this, both the habit of nutrition and physical exercise must be adopted, he mentioned that in the health centers there is a nutritionist, who will provide advice to decide which foods to eat, to what extent, and which to eliminate entirely from your diet and that of your family.

Avitia Hernández emphasized that a healthy and balanced diet is extremely significant in the growth stage, since it contains all the necessary nutrients for our body to function properly throughout the day, therefore, the diet must be adapted to the age, weight and physical condition of each person, in addition to being balanced.

Among the benefits obtained by eating a healthy diet are strengthening the immune system, lower risk of chronic diseases, improves blood circulation, slows down the aging process, prevents cardiovascular diseases, helps to obtain a healthy weight, prevents fatigue chronic and tiredness, a more positive mood and more energy for the day to day.

Finally, the jurisdictional chief invited the consumption of at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables, as well as reducing the consumption of fats, salt and added sugars, since all of them, to a greater or lesser extent, are necessary for our body.
