Rebeca Bernal Reyes, I am 46 years old, I was born in Tijuana, B.C., I am married and I have a 24-year-old daughter.

The story of my business started 20 years ago, I always wanted to open a store. I have done all kinds of work from mixing cement to making a store for my daddy when he retired, crafts and all kinds of things I always did for free in 20 years. I am also a Professional Technical Director where I was bullied for being the only woman in a group of 14 men, I wanted to give up but my family and my husband did not allow me and so I became the 1st. woman with that title in all of Baja California and thus win many championships in all of Mexico together with my husband. No charge either.

In 2014 my daddy died and after 2 months my gallbladder burst and I almost died because my organs were contaminated, 2 months later I got pancreatitis and I was evicted and I spent a year in bed, then in one of my medical check-ups we were shocked and I was pressed on the board where my face was deformed and my aorta ruptured from the knee, they told me that I would not walk again if I lived and they evicted me again so I lasted a year in bed. And I said if God gave me the opportunity to continue living because I don't help more women and tell them that what doesn't kill us doesn't always make us stronger and that together in adversity we can get ahead, that's where this dream arose to have a workshop of crafts to train women who need help to get ahead for that and why I am grateful to God and to life.
