SECRETARY OF ECONOMY AND INNOVATION CERTIFIES BUSINESS INCUBATORS IN BAJA CALIFORNIA

Incubated Businesses will have access to Support and Monitoring Programs
MEXICALI.- The Ministry of Economy and Innovation (SEI) carried out the First Certification of Business Incubators in Baja California, with the aim of positioning them as strategic actors in the consolidation of the entrepreneurial network, which will have the purpose of supporting in the creation, formalization and permanence of productive businesses in the state, reported the Undersecretary of Economic Development, Michelle Guerrero Jaimes.
The process for certification started with the launch of the call last May, in which incubators met the established bases and guidelines, complying with integrating a traditional incubator methodology, being formally registered with the Treasury, having been at least five years attending ventures, the presentation of success stories, as well as serving the public and private sectors.
The Incubators Certified in this first stage by the SEI and that fully complied with the guidelines were National Technological Institute of Mexico, Mexicali campus; UABC Cimarrones Entrepreneurs Business Incubator, Mexicali campus; Cetys University, Mexicali campus; Startup Baja Ensenada; Entrepreneur of Mexico A.C, in Mexicali; Fiix Business Factory based in Ensenada; and COPARMEX Tijuana.
The undersecretary mentioned that these incubators have been endorsed by having the experience and knowledge to guide people who have an idea and want to put it into action. It is for this reason that it cordially invites those who wish to undertake, to go to these certified organizations to receive help and establish the pertinent business model for the formalization and advice regarding the registration and application of permits, as well as the creation of the appropriate financial plans for the project.
The productive projects supported by these incubators will obtain an incubation certification, which will allow them to access support programs promoted by the SEI, which aim to provide greater opportunities for success in the business undertaken.
