The Tourism and Convention Committee of Tijuana (Cotuco) announced the holding of the "Gala con Causa" event, whose objective is to support the Center for Rehabilitation and Inclusion of Children Telethon (CRIT) of Baja California, which offers therapies to children with disability.

At a press conference, Arturo Gutiérrez Sánchez, president of Cotuco, highlighted the importance of supporting events like this Gala that have a charitable purpose.

"We are pleased to introduce you to this event whose purpose is to support the children of the Telethon, while promoting tourism with a social and altruistic conscience, since although our function is to attract visitors who generate income, it is also important to build community," he stressed.

In this regard, Joselyne Mejía, general coordinator of the event, indicated that this Gala with a Cause will take place on May 21 at the CRIT BC facilities, where important talents from the region will meet, such as fashion designers, artists, musicians, restaurateurs, wine producers and other sponsors.

"We will have from a red carpet, photos to tastings of the most renowned chefs such as Miguel Ángel Guerrero, Rufo Ibarra, Janina Garay, Rael Coronado, Josh Plascencia, Oso Campos, in addition to the presence of the most important wine houses, so everything this is a sum of efforts", he commented.

She explained that the event will be divided into three facets: the first will be the Gastronomic, Wine and Beer Sector, where great exponents of culinary art will delight the public with tastings in 7 courses, as well as a perfect pairing.

While the second facet will be the musical artistic performance by Bajo la Lápida and Convulsión Arte, who will perform La Promesa del Tigre de Agua.

Meanwhile, the third facet will be about Fashion, with the realization of a catwalk in which important talents of the entity will show their designs.

"It is worth mentioning that there will be an auction of garments and works of art by characters such as golfer Lorena Ochoa and plastic artist Enrique Chiu. Without a doubt, it will be an unprecedented Gala with Cause and we are very happy with such a positive response," said Joselyne Mejía.
