They present the 13th edition of the Clamato and Ceviche Festival at the Faro de Playas de Tijuana

On July 16 and 17, the Playas de Tijuana Lighthouse will host the 13th edition of the Clamato and Ceviche Festival, which expects to bring together more than 15,000 people throughout the entity and the neighboring state during that weekend. of California who will enjoy a wide gastronomic range.

At a press conference, the Secretary of the Tourism and Conventions Committee of Tijuana (Cotuco), Karim Chalita, said that "we are glad that traditional events are being reactivated in the city, which indicate that it is already recovering its dynamism."

He indicated that through the agenda that is shared on the different digital platforms of the Committee, between 20 and 30 fortnightly events are promoted, which contribute to attracting the influx of greater tourism to the city, which has generated that the last weekends hotel occupancy remains between 80 and 100%.

For his part, the festival's public relations coordinator, Carlos Zúñiga, stressed that the Clamato and Ceviche Festival is estimated to leave an economic spill of more than 2 million pesos, directly benefiting the participants and merchants from areas surrounding the meeting point.

The event will begin at 12:00 in the afternoon and concludes at 10:00 at night, giving everyone the opportunity to enter the space set up on Faro Avenue for free, a few meters from the wall that divides Mexico and the United States. Joined.

Carlos Zuniga said that during the harvest of the clamatos and ceviches, as well as various foods, tacos, snacks, among others, there will be the assistance of regional Mexican musical groups such as Grupo Privado and Grupo Doble SS, as well as local artists who will demonstrate their talent on our stage.

He added that during both days there will be space for the competition to define who will prepare the best clamato and the best ceviche in the region, as well as the winner of the bikini contest that takes place each edition; for the prizes there is the contribution of sponsors of "Clamato El Original".
